One inn
One philosophy
At the center of an agro-touristic region, l'Auberge des Appalaches is buttressed against the massive of Mount Sutton, on a private, 11 acre site that jealously guards nature as much as possible.
The innkeepers, Micheline and Dan, well rooted in this small paradise, have given themselves the mission of sharing it. With twenty years experience in teaching alpine skiing, cross countryskiing, snowshoeing, and other pastimes, it is not surprising to find them owning this friendly Inn, steps from Mount Sutton, that is one of the ski stations most appreciated by Quebecers, Ontarians.and Americans.
Their interest for the conservation of
the natural integrity of the region has them participating in a network
of 77
km. of mountain hiking trails starting
from the Inn. Daniel was the person responsible from 1984-1998 in negotiating,
clearing, designing, and installing these trails. The Quebec Federation
of hiking, Les Sentiers de l'Estrie, Les Parcs de la Gatineau, Jacques-Cartier
and Orford,
have also called on Dan's expertise in trailmaking.
The thrill of artistic expression is another passion that they share
with their "clientele".
The Inn is transformed into an exposition area and/or showplace.
Discover or rediscover the Auberge des Appalaches, its rustic " cachet",its authenticity, and its unpretentious comfort. Explore an exceptional natural environment on foot, on bicycle,on cross-country skiis, on snowshoes and/or tour the nearby wine regions. These sorties will become an experience, perhaps a tradition and for some and agreeable habit.
I went there and like many groups, clubs or individuals I'll return. Hope to meet you there!
